Noxpage Privacy Policy

Noxpage (“the Application”, “We”, “Us”) is a PDF reader for iPhone, iPad and Mac that adapts the content of a PDF to a dark appearance. This Privacy Policy explains what information the Application handles and what it does not. In short: your documents stay on your device, and we do not require an account.

Your documents

• PDF files you open in Noxpage are read and rendered on your device only. We never upload, copy or store your documents, their names, their text or your search terms on any server.
• Noxpage remembers the files you opened (a link to the file, last page, reading mode and theme) in the Application’s local storage on your device so it can show your library. This information does not leave your device.
• Files you add through the Share Extension are placed in a storage area shared only between the Noxpage app and its extension on your device (an App Group).
• Translation uses Apple’s Translation framework and runs on your device. The text you select to translate is not sent to us.
• Highlights and notes you add are saved in a copy of the file on your device. Noxpage never modifies the original file unless you choose to.

Information collected automatically

We use the following services to keep the Application stable and to understand which features are used. None of them receives your documents or their content.

• Firebase Analytics (Google): anonymous usage events such as which reading mode or theme was used, whether a purchase screen was opened, and coarse buckets such as a page-count range. Events never include document names, document content or search text. Noxpage does not use the advertising identifier (IDFA) and does not track you across other companies’ apps or websites. You can switch analytics off in Settings inside the Application.
• Firebase Crashlytics (Google): crash and error reports containing device model, operating system version, app version and technical diagnostics (for example, that a file could not be opened), plus the reading mode and theme in use. No document content is included.
• RevenueCat: manages the one-time “Noxpage Pro” purchase. It receives an anonymous app user identifier and your App Store purchase receipt information to confirm that Pro is unlocked. Noxpage does not receive your payment details; the purchase is processed by Apple.

What we do not collect

We do not ask for your name, e-mail address, phone number, contacts, location, photos or any account. We do not sell your data and we do not use it for advertising.

Retention

Analytics and crash data are retained by the service providers for the periods set in their settings and policies. Information stored on your device is removed when you delete the Application. To request deletion of data associated with your anonymous identifier, contact us at the address below.

Security

Your documents are processed locally. No method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security of data handled by third-party services.

Children’s Privacy

Noxpage is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR or the Turkish KVKK), you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal data, and to object to its processing. As the Application keeps documents on your device and uses anonymous identifiers, most of this can be done directly: switch analytics off in Settings, or delete the Application. For other requests, contact us.

Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes are effective when posted on this page, and the “Last updated” date above is revised.
